1. Change working hours from a set date and see what happens beforehand

   • Change work time models from a set date
   • From now on, when you change a work time model or your company’s default model, you choose the day the new hours apply from. Everything before stays as it was: target hours, vacation days and months already settled are no longer recalculated afterwards.
   • See what changes before you save
   • When a change affects several employees, MetronHR now tells you beforehand exactly whom and what it touches. This applies, for example, to a new default model, another holiday region, an import, an exit and the setup assistant. Time zone, currency and an existing day plan are only taken over when you explicitly tick the box.
   • Assign new cards faster
   • Terminal management now has a “Just read” section. Hold a new card to a terminal, it appears at the top within a few seconds, and you assign it to the right employee with one click. No more searching through the list of unknown cards.

   • When you change the holiday region, MetronHR now recalculates only the absences of the current year. Previous years and carried-over vacation stay unchanged.
   • You can now delete pools and shift templates without losing the past shifts planned with them.
   • Automatic shift assignment now respects rest periods and other protection rules. If an application would break one, it stays open and the approvers are told why.
   • A yearly company closure now keeps your paid leave setting when it is copied into the next year.

   • Employees invited with capital letters in their e-mail address can sign in again after a password reset, in the browser and in the app.
   • The overview and shift planning now mark today correctly even shortly after midnight, and the overview loads without an error message again.

   • If the employee number is missing when you edit an employee, the dialog now points this out instead of stopping with a generic error.

2. The time account in the employee file and more reliable terminals

   • The “Work time & time account” tab now shows the time account balance up to yesterday, when it starts counting and which overtime was carried over. You change both there with a short assistant that tells you beforehand how the balance will change.

   • On the day the clocks change, the terminals switch to the new time at 3 a.m. instead of waiting for their next sync.

3. Undo imports and vacation figures that explain themselves

   • Undo imports for three days
   • After importing employees, customers or other lists, you can reverse the import for three more days with “Undo import”. Anything someone has edited or used in the meantime is kept. After three days the import is final.
   • New employees in two steps
   • In the first step you enter who the person is, in the second the employment with entry date, start of time tracking, vacation and carried-over hours. A sentence tells you beforehand what will be created. MetronHR suggests the employee number to match your own scheme.
   • Every figure says where it comes from
   • Vacation entitlement, carryover, work time and holiday calendar now show whether MetronHR calculated the figure or it was set by hand, each with its own change button. The vacation card explains the number in a sentence, for example that only 9 of 12 months count for the year of entry.
   • Remove employees from a department
   • The department page lists its employees in a searchable table. There you remove a person from the department, and they stay in the company.

   • When the shift planning setup refuses something, it tells you why.

   • The hours account counts from the start of time tracking, no longer from the entry date. Long-standing employees therefore no longer get target hours from the time before MetronHR.

4. Your own order in the day plan

   • Under More actions, Change employee order, you sort employees the way you need them. The order applies to every planner and to print and export as well.
   • Overtime account as of yesterday
   • The account shows the balance up to yesterday. What has been worked today is shown next to it, for example 4:00 of 8:00 h.

   • Time off in lieu starting today is no longer rejected by mistake.
   • Vacation entitlement is calculated correctly when someone rejoins.

5. Contracts in plain sentences, deputies and a support center

   • “What happened?”: changes to contracts, work time and vacation
   • The employee file offers one “Record a change” button each for contract, work time and vacation. You choose what happened, such as a raise, an extended fixed term or an exit, fill in the few values needed in one sentence, and read what will change before you confirm. MetronHR picks the right step itself. The history reads in whole sentences, with numbered employments and visible gaps. Four weeks before a fixed-term contract ends, MetronHR reminds the management and HR.
   • Deputies for leave requests
   • Anyone who decides leave requests can name a deputy, either for every day of their own absence or for a set period. The deputy then decides the requests of that team, never their own. The deputy is set in your own profile or by the management and HR in the employee file. Every decision shows who made it on whose behalf.
   • The support center
   • The “Support center” button in the header opens your requests to the MetronHR team. You describe a concern with formatted text and screenshots, see how far it has got, read the answers and reply yourself, files included. A number on the button shows new answers. You also find the help and the tour for the page you came from.
   • Booking rules for the terminal
   • On the terminal page, the new “Booking rules” tab sets how stamps are counted: credit or deduct minutes at the first clock-in and last clock-out, for example for changing time, round stamps onto a grid, and close forgotten clock-outs automatically. The rules apply company-wide and can differ per work time model. An entry counted this way shows both the stamped and the counted time in time tracking.

   • Employees see their own data, contract, work time model and the documents HR shares with them under “My personnel file”.
   • The documents of the employee file are now a file store with a folder tree, list and tile view, versions, a trash bin, sharing per folder and ZIP download. The standard folder “Occupational safety” is new.
   • Pages, lists and dialogs share one calmer look, empty areas explain what belongs there, and required fields are marked the same way everywhere.
   • Tables can be sorted everywhere with a click on the column header.
   • Customers and projects can be created right from the time entry dialog.
   • Time tracking change requests describe in sentences what is requested and how it changes the recorded time.
   • The details of an absence in the team calendar show when it was requested and who decided it.
   • The audit log names people and objects, former employees included, and opens the details of every event.
   • The next feedback meeting can be entered in the employee file.
   • PDF exports fit their column widths to the content.

   • Sorting the lists of employees, customers, projects, services and departments now covers all pages, not just the one shown.
   • When paging through long lists, the rows stay in place until the next page has arrived.
   • Emails from MetronHR now show their header correctly in Outlook on Windows too.
   • The contract dialog accepts numbers with a decimal comma, and the salary shows in the contract’s currency.

6. A direct line to the MetronHR team

   • Report a problem, right from the company settings
   • The company settings now offer “Report a problem”. You choose the kind, such as bug, outage, question or suggestion, briefly describe what happened, and the report goes straight to the MetronHR team. You get a ticket number right away, which you can refer to in any follow-up.

7. Calmer tours

   Version 1.4.424. September 2026

   • Tours that follow your eye
   • During a tour the highlight now glides from one area to the next instead of rebuilding at every step. The page scrolls the area into the middle, and the hint window picks the side where it has room. The texts and steps of the tours stay as they were.

8. Hand over the CEO role

   Version 1.4.221. September 2026

   • Hand the CEO role to someone else
   • The CEO role is handed to another person from the employee file. The dialog explains beforehand what changes, and the handover is recorded like any other role change. The last active CEO can no longer lose the role, neither through a role change nor by being deactivated, so a company is never left without one.

   • In employee development, a goal without progress now says that it has not started yet instead of showing an empty area. Categories are written consistently along with it.

9. Changes are visible right away

   • Yearly billing instead of monthly
   • Switching to a yearly invoice now happens inside MetronHR instead of on an external page. Before you confirm, you see what is due today, what you save over a year and the twelve months that follow. The switch is invoiced immediately and a running discount is kept.
   • Request a missing time entry
   • Until now you could only request a change to an entry that already existed. Now a missing entry can be requested as well, for example when nothing was booked at the terminal. The request takes the same route to approval as a change, and people who cannot edit time tracking otherwise can still raise one.

   • A change was only visible on other screens after a reload. Enter an absence and the home page, the calendar and the lists kept showing the previous state for up to five minutes. They now update at once, everywhere in the application.
   • A shortened time entry jumped back to its old length after leaving the page and returning.
   • After editing the master data of a person, the file and the list stayed on the previous state.
   • Some settings showed the statutory defaults instead of your own values, and saving then wrote those defaults over them. Employee protection, time tracking and the reminders in the personal settings were affected.
   • A new time entry only carried the customer colour after a reload.
   • The profile picture did not appear in the personal settings.
   • The calendar access card claimed there was no access although one was open.

10. Proof on site, company closures and surcharges

    • Service proofs signed by the customer
    • Pick the job, check the hours, let the customer sign on screen. The proof is stored as a readable document you can hand on. In the app this works offline too: whatever was captured on site goes out as soon as the device is back online. If nobody is there to sign, that is recorded instead of inventing a signature.
    • Company closures for everyone at once
    • When the company closes between Christmas and New Year, you enter it once and it applies to everyone. The absences are created as one group, stay recognisable as a closure, and can be renamed or withdrawn for individual people. Recurring closures are carried year by year, and you choose the day the next one is created.
    • Surcharges calculate themselves
    • Night, Sunday and holiday hours are reported separately, with the surcharge amount beside them. Your company sets the time windows and rates, and the calculation is to the minute across midnight. Anyone who used to recalculate this by hand at month end now simply reads the numbers.
    • MetronHR opens up
    • Under Company, Integrations you create your own access keys, targets for notifications to other systems, and the release for AI assistants. Other programs can then read and write master data and times, and a target system is notified on its own when something changes. Your company decides what a key may do, and every access is recorded.

    • The hours account speaks up: when a balance reaches the yellow or red stage, the notice names the stage and the threshold instead of only showing a colour.
    • Companies outside Germany: country, holiday calendar and region are configurable, Austria and Switzerland are included, and a company can run without a holiday calendar at all. Times follow the company time zone, amounts its currency.
    • Import from spreadsheets: a wizard under every list reads CSV and Excel for eight kinds of object, shows the type and an example for each column, and says what does not fit before anything is taken over.
    • The same export everywhere: one button on every list, as CSV, Excel or a readable PDF.
    • The subscription page has been rebuilt: term end, next charge, next amount and cancellation status now sit where you look for them.
    • See and end your own sign-ins: user settings list the devices your account is signed in on, and each session can be ended individually. Staying signed in now lasts considerably longer.
    • Large workforces: searching for people, customers and services runs on the server, so lists load noticeably faster.
    • A failed payment is reported instead of quietly sitting there.
    • Time clock terminal: maintenance access works without a network connection, and the device turns the screen off entirely after a second idle stage.
    • Try MetronHR without signing up: an example company with realistic data is one click away and disappears again by itself.

    • Flexible working time models were shown as a feature of the larger plan although they are included in the Team plan.
    • An import could create duplicate records and bypass company rules. Both are now checked before anything is taken over.

11. Setting up terminals reliably

    • Terminal self-setup offered a setup code for an app version this server did not actually hold. Scanning it led nowhere. The code now points at the version this server really serves.
    • Limits for sign-in attempts and outgoing e-mail were shared between the test and the live system, so activity on the test system could slow down real users. Both now count separately.

    • The self-setup instructions now cover the privacy notice Android shows at the end of its wizard, and say what to do when the ordinary home screen appears afterwards instead of the pairing code.

12. Clearer time values

    • Hours use the same notation everywhere, 8:30 h, with the unit right next to the value. Balances carry their sign: +12:30 h is a credit, -1:45 h a shortfall.

    • The overtime tile on the dashboard showed +0:00 h for a balanced account, claiming a credit that did not exist. A balanced zero now appears without a sign.

13. Leave, maternity protection and public holidays by the book

    • Leave that follows the contract
    • The annual entitlement is now calculated separately for each part of the year. Someone moving from a five day to a four day week in July keeps the leave they earned in the first half. Employees with a severe disability receive their additional leave pro rata. A warning goes out before leave expires and is kept as proof, and after a long illness the entitlement only expires after fifteen months.
    • Maternity protection and parental leave
    • Protection periods are derived from the due date and the actual birth: six weeks before, eight after, twelve for a premature birth, for multiple births and where a disability has been established. If the child arrives early, the unused days move to the period after. Employment bans affect scheduling, and parental leave is now an absence type of its own.
    • Holiday work and the substitute day of rest
    • Working on a public holiday no longer earns a credit for a day that was never lost. How your company handles this is now a setting, and the substitute day of rest required by working time law is tracked. Existing balances stay untouched until you change the setting.
    • Keeping an eye on your terminals
    • Every device now has a detail view with its status, last sign of life and recent events. Terminals can be removed from the list and a pairing can be released; if pairing fails, the reason is shown. The device displays your company colour and logo. And instead of a fixed choice, any combination of app, web and terminal can be allowed for recording time.

    • When someone leaves, a closing statement is recorded: the leave to be paid out and the time account balance on the last day, frozen rather than recalculated later.
    • Scheduling now checks youth employment rules: night rest, the five day week and Saturday and Sunday rest. You can also set a maximum number of consecutive working days.
    • The time account and change requests are now available in the app as well.
    • The audit log shows the details behind every entry, and terminal events have their own trail.
    • Your own logo now appears in the application and on the terminal.
    • The dashboard fills the grid without gaps, including layouts saved in earlier versions.
    • Moving between pages shows the layout immediately instead of waiting for the data.
    • Bookings under a minute are discarded at the terminal instead of creating follow-up work.
    • If the device security check blocks every update, terminal management points it out.

    • A half day absence was credited twice. The daily target now stays intact.
    • Reporting sick during approved leave now returns those days to the balance.
    • Unpaid absence is neither credited nor owed in the time account.

    • The tab bar above lists no longer takes up a row of its own.

14. Attendance tracking, with or without a terminal

    • Time without customer or service
    • Time tracking settings now offer a mode for plain attendance. The stopwatch and the entry form stop asking for things this company does not use, and the reports show only what can be calculated without an assignment. Existing entries keep theirs, even after switching.
    • Clocking in and out at the terminal
    • A wall terminal records clock in and clock out from a card. The bookings become tracked time, the same as from the stopwatch. Company and terminals lists every device with its last sign of life, and an unknown card can be assigned to a person straight from the rejected attempt.
    • What is new, behind the version number
    • Clicking the version in the bottom left shows what this release and the previous ones brought. A dot next to the number marks news until you have read it.
    • Pairing two people for a day
    • In the day plan you can tie two people together for one day when they are meant to be scheduled as a pair. The note about it sits in the person row.

    • Working time violations are now checked per day across all entries. Two short entries on a long day are flagged, even when neither is too long on its own.
    • Absence types now use the same colour on every page, and the letter on top stays readable on all of them. The same leave used to be coloured differently in the hour account and in the absence list.
    • Sign in and sign up have been reworked, and the two factor messages now say what to do.
    • In the app, the customer picker shows the customer number. The same value used to be labelled as a contact person.

    • Time off in lieu requests can be edited in the app again. Saving used to end in an error.
    • Time that flows into the app in the background deducts the statutory break the same way the list does. Both paths now show the same net time.
    • Copying entries in attendance mode shows the list of suggestions again.

15. Hour account handles breaks in employment

    • The hour account lists every period a person was employed. The months in between no longer count. So anyone who was away for a year and came back does not carry a deficit for that time.

16. Day plan, working-hours check and a setup assistant

    • A day as a grid, with time running left to right or top to bottom. You draw assignments straight into the grid, move them with the mouse and publish the whole day when you are done. Employees can hand an assignment over, express interest in an open one and take it on. Printing produces a clean PDF.
    • Setup assistant
    • Areas, activities, teams and staffing rules are created step by step. A staffing rule reads as a sentence with your choices filled in, instead of a form with a dozen fields.
    • A warning before you break working-hours rules
    • MetronHR checks rest periods, maximum working hours and breaks. Violations show up in the plan before it goes out.

    • On a phone, lists now show cards instead of narrow table columns.
    • People are picked the same way everywhere: search field, profile picture and a note about who is unavailable.
    • Text stays readable on any colour you pick, whichever one it is.
