What does the dashboard show and how do I set it up?
The dashboard consists of tiles that can be arranged by dragging, resized and hidden individually. The selection applies per person; there is no business-wide default. Two tiles are not a display but a work surface: your own tasks and the open approvals can be dealt with straight from them.

The board belongs to the person
The tiles can be arranged by dragging and resized. Individual tiles are hidden, and the selection is stored per person.
There is no layout prescribed by the business. Everyone arranges it for themselves; a centrally set default view is not provided for.
A dialogue lists the available tiles with a name and description. From there hidden tiles are brought back onto the board. The edit mode has a toolbar of its own for this.
The tiles
Twelve tiles are available. Four of them are figures, three depend on the shift planning module, and two are not a display but a work surface.
What is available.
| Tile | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Worked Today | The working time recorded today. |
| This week | The week's recorded time against the target. |
| Overtime balance | The current balance from the time account. |
| Remaining holiday | The remaining days of leave for the current year. |
| Absences and team calendar | Your own and the team's absences, as a list and as a compact calendar. |
| My tasks and Open approvals | Workflow tasks to be done and requests to be decided, editable straight from the tile. |
| Next shift, Open shifts, Open cover requests | Three shift-related tiles. They require the shift planning module. |
| Birthdays and anniversaries | Upcoming birthdays and work anniversaries. |

The steps here describe a running system. Anyone who does not have one yet sets it up during the trial and keeps everything created along the way.
Quick Actions
Above the tiles sits a row of quick actions for the most common tasks: record time, request an absence, invite a person.
The greeting above it changes with the time of day and the person.
The task list
Alongside the dashboard there is a page of its own with all the open tasks of the signed-in person. The same list appears as a tile on the board.
It brings two things together: tasks from the joining and leaving workflows and requests that have to be decided. Both can be dealt with straight from the list, without switching into the relevant area.
- A workflow task is marked as done from the list. The details are only loaded when it is expanded.
- Open absence and time change requests are accepted or declined straight from the list.
- Swap requests and shift applications too.
Follow-up questions
- Can we set the dashboard uniformly for everyone?
- No. The arrangement and the choice of tiles apply per person. A centrally set default view is not provided for.
- Why can I not see the shift tiles?
- Because they require the shift planning module. Without the module there are neither shifts nor cover requests, and the tiles are consequently not offered.
- Do I have to switch areas to approve something?
- No. Open requests can be accepted and declined straight from the tile or from the task list, absences, time changes and shift requests alike.
- I hid a tile. How do I get it back?
- Through the tile catalogue. The dialogue lists all the available tiles with a name and description, and from there you bring them back onto the board.
