What is in the template?

Ready to use, with formulas, sample data and a legend.

  • Client, project, service and billable per row
  • Hours and billable share per client
  • Hours per project on a sheet of their own
  • A daily check: ten hours, breaks, rest until the next morning
  • Notes on trust-based hours and Sunday work

When does the template fit?

Ideal as an interim solution or for small teams, with clear limits.

  • Advertising, design and digital agencies
  • Teams with trust-based hours and home office
  • Pitch weeks that run late
When Excel reaches its limits

The pitch until half past eleven is on no invoice, but it is in the working time.

In MetronHR everyone books their time in the browser or the app to client and project, and breaks under section 4 ArbZG are checked in both plans. In the Professional plan, project budgets and client allowances show how much time is left.

Does time have to be recorded with trust-based hours?

Yes. Trust-based hours govern when people work, not whether the time is recorded. Recording may be delegated to employees; the employer remains responsible (Federal Labour Court, 13 September 2022, 1 ABR 22/21).

Is non-billable time working time?

Yes. Internal alignment, pitch preparation and training are working time, even if no client is billed for them. For maximum hours, breaks and rest everything counts together.

May the agency work on Sunday if the pitch is on Monday?

Agencies are not among the exceptions in section 10 ArbZG, also not in the home office. An exception is only possible in extraordinary cases under section 14 ArbZG or with an official permit. A deadline alone is not enough.
