When Excel reaches its limits

Twenty minutes of call-out at three in the morning move the whole next day.

In MetronHR everyone books their time in the browser or the app to client and project, at night too. In the Professional plan the hours per client show up in the project budget straight away, and at month end the payroll file goes to the accountant.

Is on-call duty working time?

In principle only the call-out. If requirements such as a very short response time very significantly restrict free time, all of the standby can be working time (CJEU, 9 March 2021, C-344/19 and C-580/19).

When may work resume after a call-out at 3 am?

According to the prevailing view, the rest period starts again after the call-out. Anyone who worked until 3:20 am starts at 2:20 pm at the earliest without a different collective agreement (section 7(2) no. 1 ArbZG). The template flags exactly this case in the example.

May IT teams do maintenance on Sundays?

Yes, to keep data networks and computer systems working (section 10(1) no. 14 ArbZG). Every Sunday worked brings a replacement rest day within two weeks (section 11 ArbZG).
