When Excel reaches its limits

Late shift on Sunday, route on Monday at five: seven hours of rest are too little.

MetronHR checks rest and maximum hours while you assign the shift, in the Professional plan. People clock in at the warehouse terminal or via the app on the road, and at month end the hours go to the accountant as a payroll file.

How many hours may drivers work a week?

At most 60 hours, 48 hours on average over four calendar months or 16 weeks (section 21a(4) ArbZG). The driving and rest times of Regulation (EC) No 561/2006 apply alongside. The template checks working time, not driving time.

What happens when switching from late shift to a route?

A late shift until 10 pm and a route from 5 am leave seven hours of rest. That falls short of the eleven hours of section 5(1) ArbZG. The template flags exactly this case in the example.

Does a special recording duty apply in logistics?

Yes. Freight forwarding, transport and related logistics are listed in section 2a SchwarzArbG. The start, end and duration of daily working time of all employees have to be recorded by the end of the seventh calendar day (section 17 MiLoG).
